A ideia podia parecer estranha, afinal ainda hoje esse tipo de constru\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 associado a t\u00e9cnicas mais r\u00fasticas e materiais tradicionais. O ar tecnol\u00f3gico da combina\u00e7\u00e3o a\u00e7o vidro, tipicamente modernista, come\u00e7ava a ser visto em arranha-c\u00e9us, mas n\u00e3o em \u00e1reas rurais na d\u00e9cada de 1950. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O resultado da ideia inusitada, por\u00e9m, foi um sucesso.\u00a0 Originalmente constru\u00edda para o veraneio da m\u00e9dica americana Farnsworth, a casa hoje \u00e9 um museu aberto \u00e0 visita\u00e7\u00e3o de todos que apreciam a melhor arquitetura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/radames.manosso.nom.br\/critica\/files\/farnsworth-house-1.jpg?w=604&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Casa Farnsworth\" class=\"wp-image-382\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Casa aberta para fora<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Linhas retas, horizontalidade, aus\u00eancia de ornamentos, grandes \u00e1reas envidra\u00e7adas, cobertura horizontal, estrutura em a\u00e7o, simplicidade, eleg\u00e2ncia e funcionalidade. Todos os elementos do estilo de Mies van der Rohe est\u00e3o presentes na casa Farnsworth. Sua \u00e1rea de 140 m2 \u00e9 modesta e pensada para um casal. N\u00e3o h\u00e1 compartimenta\u00e7\u00e3o em c\u00f4modos, exceto pelo banheiro, a \u00fanica parte fechada da casa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O paralelo mais \u00f3bvio que se pode tra\u00e7ar \u00e9 com a casa de vidro de Philip Johnson e, talvez, com a casa de canoas de Oscar Niemeyer. A aus\u00eancia de divis\u00f3rias tem a ver com o despojamento modernista, mas tamb\u00e9m com versatilidade, j\u00e1 que permite o rearranjo r\u00e1pido do espa\u00e7os. As \u00e1reas envidra\u00e7adas talvez incomodem aqueles que pensam na casa como ref\u00fagio da privacidade, mas como se trata de uma casa rodeada pela natureza e n\u00e3o por vizinhos fofoqueiros faz mais sentido pensar que os olhares se projetam de dentro para fora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A ideia do vidro \u00e9 proteger contra as intemp\u00e9ries sem obstruir a vis\u00e3o e dar a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de que o ambiente interno se integra ao externo. A constru\u00e7\u00e3o elevada sobre pilares met\u00e1licos causa um efeito est\u00e9tico, obviamente, mas sua fun\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0 \u00e9 proteger a casa das inunda\u00e7\u00f5es, j\u00e1 que o s\u00edtio onde foi constru\u00edda est\u00e1 \u00e0s margens de um rio.\u00a0 Mesmo assim, desde que foi constru\u00edda mais de uma vez a casa foi alcan\u00e7ada pelas enchentes. Pois \u00e9, a tecnol\u00f3gica casa Farnsworth \u00e9 uma palafita de a\u00e7o. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O acesso principal \u00e0 casa se d\u00e1 por dois lances de escada intercalados com um deck que levam \u00e0 varanda constru\u00edda parcialmente em balan\u00e7o. Na parte central da casa fica o bloco que aloja a mob\u00edlia de cozinha, o banheiro, a lareira e os arm\u00e1rios. Projeto elegante, funcional,\u00a0 simples e antenado com a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica da \u00e9poca.
